This issue is deeply personal since inadequate research exists regarding the long-term exposure to non-ionizing radiation created by cell towers. And now, we face a situation where a communications tower is being proposed to be built between Palmer Adah Rd and Murphy Rd on the Agricultural-zoned Dicarlo Property. 

Communications towers are notorious for their potential emission of non-ionizing radiation. Sustained exposure to this type of radiation can result in potential health risks from cumulative radiation exposure (Source: "Environmental Health and Safety", University of Iowa). The tower's proposed location, agricultural land, highlights an equally grim fact. Once the veil of zoning is pierced, what comes next? More Development? Low Income Housing? Solar Farms? 

Furthermore, towers such as these disrupt the scenic beauty of the area and could potentially negatively affect property values of the surrounding areas (Source: "The Effects of Cellular Towers on Property Values", Leonard A. Jackson Associates). Not to mention, The cell tower will not even provide better coverage to our immediate area. 

Our environment, our health, and our community demand respect and proper consideration from corporate and technological advancement agendas. We challenge the construction of this tower and urge the responsible authorities to consider alternate locations for its installation. The safety, health, and wellbeing of our community is at stake here.
