Halt the Closure of Gallions Mount Primary School by Greenwich Council

Halt the Closure of Gallions Mount Primary School by Greenwich Council
Das Problem
As a parent of three pupils attending Gallions Mount Primary School, I am deeply concerned about the recent decision taken by Greenwich Council to shut down our school. My children, along with other pupils, thrive in this intimate, enriching educational environment. This school may be smaller in comparison to other local establishments but it excels greatly in terms of quality.
In Gallions Mount Primary School, the class size is usually kept maximum to 25-30 pupils per year group, a key distinguishing feature that promotes a stronger teacher-student relationship and fosters high-standard learning. The dedication of the teaching staff and teaching assistants in catering to the unique needs of each student is unparalleled. This highly-focused attention is a rarity in our education system.
Not only does this school excel academically, but it also provides a wealth of extracurricular activities that stimulate the interests of our children, contributing significantly towards their holistic development. It's not an exaggeration to say that my children wake up each morning eager to go to school.
Yet, despite these irrefutable advantages, the council plans to close Gallions Mount Primary School. It completely disregards the drastic impact this decision will have on our children's lives, shaking their routines and catapulting them into unknown learning territories. It also discounts the disruptive effects on our community, severing the tight-knit relationships among families, students, teachers, and staff.
Therefore, we implore Greenwich Council to reconsider their decision to ensure the continued operation of Gallions Mount Primary School. Let our children continue their education in an environment where they are known, nurtured, and celebrated. Please, stand with us in preserving this bastion of quality, intimate education.
