You were only partially heard... They are not filling in the big pool…  but you all need to CALL the Mayor and your alderman and tell them to send back the splash park equipment they have purchased! If the City of Olean continues to move forward and spends more money on this project, it would be a mistake. We, the taxpayers, need to make sure the monies are going to what is needed for our city… not wanted by our council.  

We should be upgrading the big pool (I believe they have $50,000 budgeted) so there is more of a resort-type atmosphere. Bringing in the cabanas and chairs will make the big pool more appealing. Also, it will allow families on those hot days to have some shade and a place to sit while enjoying the pool.  

You should know that if the Common Council moves forward with the splash park, they will need to take out a one Million dollar bond, and if the park does not come through with $100,000 per year profit, we, the taxpayers, will be paying that $100,000 per year for the next 15 years to pay back the money that was borrowed!
