Standing as a resident of the beautiful city of Tauranga, New Zealand, I come before you humbly asking for your support. At the core of our community, we value personal choice and the right to decide what goes into our bodies. The decision to introduce fluoride by Tauranga City Council violates this very core value.

Alarmingly, the council plans to roll out fluoride in our water supply on July 31, 2024. This move impacts all of us, not just the individuals who choose to take fluoride. It jeopardizes our freedom to choose what we consume daily, and that is unacceptable. This decision should be personal, not made by the council on behalf of us all.

Furthermore, the council has a duty to us, the people of Tauranga, to ensure NO FLUORIDE is introduced into our water until every legal avenue has been explored and exhausted. Information must be clear, and every voice must be heard before such a step is taken.

Addressing this urgent circumstance with the gravity it deserves, we urge the Tauranga City Council to put a moratorium on their plan to fluoridate our water supply. Let's empower individuals with the personal choice and uphold the democratic principles that guide our City Council's operation.
