We, the undersigned, hereby petition for the suspension of Miss Universe 2025 until the serious and unresolved issues concerning its director are addressed.

The director owes multiple individuals P950 each, which they paid to attend a workshop he was supposed to host. Despite receiving payment, the director failed to deliver the event, and has made no proper communication or explanation to the attendees regarding the situation. Those who inquired about the workshop and their money were ignored, which reflects a lack of professionalism and responsibility.

Furthermore, the director has failed to fulfill his obligations to the current titleholders in his organization. He has not awarded the promised prizes and has stripped the second princess of her title  after she publicly voiced her grievances about his failure to communicate with her. This behavior not only undermines the integrity of the competition but also demonstrates a complete disregard for the well-being and efforts of the participants.

The Sales and Marketing team has not been paid for the work they did and have not been attended to when they raised their grievances. They worked tirelessly to make the Miss Universe Botswana 2024 finale a success but got nothing. This counting as one of the many mismanagement and mistreatment by the director and/or Miss Universe Botswana organization. 

Until these issues are resolved—until the director addresses the financial and professional obligations owed to the participants and titleholders—we believe that Miss Universe 2025 should not continue. The director must be held accountable for his actions and ensure that all debts are paid and grievances are settled before any further proceedings take place.

We call on the organizers to take swift and appropriate action to restore the trust and integrity of the pageant.
