The logging has been fast and furious and the wheels of justice slow, but they are moving. We filed a Petition for Judicial Review in the Supreme Court of British Columbia! Thousands of pages of affidavits – scientists, ecologists, fire behaviour specialists, you name it they are in there. And they all agree – this logging operation is a disaster.

What we desperately need is for you all to become members of Stanley Park Preservation Society. Wherever you are in the world, we need you. Membership is free and super easy – just go to our website! It is really important that we have as large a membership as possible when the case is heard, so if it is convenient, do it right after you read this update… please and thank you!

Donations are optional, but if you have not yet donated, we could really use the funds. We just got a $25,000 bill from our legal team. Given the massive amount of work that has gone into this case so far, our lawyers are giving us the best deal they can, but the lights have to stay on in their office as well. It’s not very much if we all chip in.

To donate directly to us to help with our legal fees, please use our dedicated donation page or copy and paste this link in your browser:

Alternatively, in Canada you can e-transfer a donation to:

donate@savestanleypark.ca

If you are really old school, you can send a cheque to:

We understand that not everyone is in a position to make a large donation, but even $10 helps. If you are in a position to shoulder a larger chunk of the financial burden, please do it for the trees and the animals and, well, you and us! If we lose these trees, we lose them for the rest of our lifetime. If we can save what is left of the forest, it will be for our grandchildren to enjoy. I don’t know about you, but I want to be able to walk in a forest with my family from time to time.
