Thank you again to everyone who has signed, shared the petition and/or chipped in to get views for it.

The petition currently has over 250 supporters. I am writing to let people know that my goal is for the petition to reach 300 signatures and I hope that collectively we can work towards this.

The petition will close for signatures either when 300 signatures have been reached or on Thursday 4th December (whichever comes first). I started the petition on the 4th September so by the 4th December it will have been open for three months.

As is the tradition with petitions I will be asking Great Western Railway if they will let me hand deliver the petition to them and I hope I will be able to do this before Christmas. I will ask them to provide a response that I can share with you all but obviously I can’t guarantee they will do this.

if GWR say I can hand deliver the petition but say I can’t do this until January then the petition will stay open for signing longer than Thursday 4th December irrespective of the number of signatures and I’ll let people know.

Obviously it is a possibility GWR won’t let me hand deliver the petition in which case I will have to think about the best other method of delivery which they will accept. If this is the case I will update you all.

Anyhow this is thinking ahead a bit - please continue sharing the petition and inviting anyone who you think may be interested to sign.
