With the scrapping of the winter fuel payment for 10 million older people, and threats to the other universal benefits such as the bus pass and free prescriptions in England, and to the council tax single person discount, it is time for a fight back! We have published a new petition targeting the Budget, which calls for protection for all universal benefits and for the basic state pension to be improved.
