The Chancellor has just announced that the full Triple Lock increase of 8.5% will be applied to state pensions next April, exactly what our petition called for. There is no doubt that our campaign was instrumental in stopping the triple lock formula from being diluted in order to save up to £1 billion at the expense of older people.
