here's a personal story:

when i was a child i was very quiet, blended in with the furniture and was scared of everything. I was very cautious and did.notmlike to take risks, and I was very sensitive to things too. One day when I was 7 my class and in when on a field trip to go see somesbeees. I hated bees. I hated bees with a passion. They were bugs with full capacity to hurt me, and they didn't even ask to land on me during lunchtimes and it made me cry. The adults all put us in little beekeeping suits and we stood at a small distance and looked at the bees. Then the beekeeper asked who wanted to come for a closer look. No one wanted to go closer coz they thought they would be stung and attacked by the beeds. I was annoyed because I noticed the beekeeper was fine, we were fine, the suit protects us perfectly fine, so it was illogical that bees could do anything. So 8n some kind of way to prove my classmates wrong I raised my hand and got picked to look at the bees. The teachers were asking me a couple times if I wanted to do it and i remember someone going "who is that?" And gasping when they found out. It was totally fine. Not super interesting, but not painful. I walked back and was praised for my.bravery but it didn't feel like bravery be ause I already knew I wouldn't get hurt. But I think it changed something in me fundamentally, to trust what I believe despite common agreement, to put my preconceptions aside and look at things objectively, to take risks and face my fears head on even if

I really like shakshuka and I make it well and to see it reduced to this is assault
