Most people are aware of the massive power outages occurring across Texas right now. At 2 AM, February 15th it was 3 degrees outside with 6-8 inches of snow along with a -12* wind chill.

With little to no notification from monopolies like ONCOR and ERCOT, millions were left to freeze. Shortly after the “rolling blackouts” began was when everybody found out and began to realize that they would fall victim to the previously unannounced decision to turn off people’s electricity in historically cold temperatures across the state of Texas.

The tweets and notifications initially sent by ONCOR were deceptive, misleading & dangerous considering nobody had expected outages or had been forewarned of even a possibility of outages.

They tweeted that under the instruction of ERCOT, they had began implementing rolling blackouts that would last anywhere from 15-45 minutes and could possibly reoccur with up to 60 minute intervals. Most people could accept this as an emergency decision to PREVENT us from losing power for extended amounts of time - we were fooled. 4 hours later, with no sign or information on when to expect reconnection, millions of people across the state began to worry for their safety, the safety of their children & if they had enough means of survival to protect their families as temperatures continued to drop..

Me, alongside hundreds of others in my area were left without power for 14, 18 & some even 24+ hours with no sign of reconnection. A simple social media search will reveal hundreds of thousands of people sleeping in their cars to keep warm, tweeting to the ONCOR monopoly BEGGING for any information or explanation as to why this was lasting so long and when we could be confident that we were safe.

A key role in this crisis is obviously the recent use of wind turbine generated electricity. The companies who were in charge of funding these wind turbines and the construction of them did not install heating units or defrosters on any of the turbines because “Texas doesn’t get cold”. This was their actual reason.

So rather than keep their customers safe, warm & ready for the unexpected, these companies decided to cut production costs and save themselves millions of dollars by not installing defrosters or other weather-related safety features. Ultimately, this decision has caused their products to be defective, useless and has caused millions of people to stress, panic and even die.

Hypothermia hospitalizations in the last 48 hours have skyrocketed across Texas. ONCOR / ERCOT is responsible. Now, the tweets from ONCOR / ERCOT have a much different, more sinister tone to them, warning people to expect more extended outages and to prepare. What happened to 15-45 minutes of controlled blackouts? Deception & lies to the people who have paid them month after month for the last year DURING A PANDEMIC to keep their electricity. Complete and total disregard for customers & families across the state of Texas. 

THE ERCOT / ONCOR MONOPOLY MUST BE HELD RESPONSIBLE AND ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE DEATHS, INJURY AND CHAOTIC SITUATION FORCED UPON MILLIONS OF TEXANS! THEY MUST BE REGULATED AND STOPPED FROM ALLOWING THIS TO EVER HAPPEN AGAIN!

SIDEBAR: Financial day traders (who trade the energy markets) have apparently said that the cost per watt has gotten so incredibly high that millions of people are looking at energy bills in the thousands or even tens of thousands.... which may lead to the energy companies requiring a bailout from the federal government. This will OF COURSE be used as an opportunity to further their agenda.
