Greenock Morton FC have played at Cappielow Park since 1879. The stadium is owned by the club, but when the club comes into community ownership next year, this will no longer be the case.

The current owners of the club (Golden Casket Ltd.) wish to retain ownership of our historic home stadium when the club changes hands. This is a situation which should not be allowed to happen. Separating the club from the stadium leaves Morton in a vulnerable position going forward.

We would ask that Golden Casket Ltd. reconsider their position and include the stadium in the transfer of ownership.

Do the right thing Mr Rae, give Morton the best chance to thrive going forward.
