This petition is being created to get the City Council of Greenfield, IN to ban soliciting/door salesman.  Solicitors are just like telemarketers, only they pose a potential immediate threat to a person as these could be criminals posing as salesman who are canvasing your house to cause theft or harm.  

We understand that solicitors are required by local ordinance to obtain a permit but not all solicitors either know of this ordinance or obey it or this ordinance is not enforced.  In order to maintain the safety of citizens and home owners, we need an ordinance to ban soliciting in the City of Greenfield, IN.
