The Issue
To whom it may concern-
We are asking that you investigate (and) pro-actively change Greene County Animal Control-
90-95% of the 88 Counties in Ohio utilize a source called Petfinder.Com because they realize that in the United States 90.5% of computer users have visited Petfinder.Com to search for a dog or cat- This information can be verified at Alexa.Com. We have (continuously) been told that your facility REFUSES to utilize Petfinder (and) Social Media due to the public's reaction to euthanasia. We have also been told that the .Gov site that the dogs and cats are listed on is "sufficient" ---- To disprove this statement we are including the current Alexa Rankings for http://www.co.greene.oh.us
You are currently ranked (in the United states at) 65,740, Globally (394,567) ====== 26% of those visitors are there for to retrieve Auditor's Information, 13.4% Property Information, 10.65 Jail information and 12% General information about Greene County-
Greene County is not only losing revenue by NOT proactively seeking adopters through FREE MARKETING but it is also gaining a reputation for NOT being willing to work with the public-
For the last year we have featured dogs (and) cats from Greene- Within that time we have received DOZENS of complaints from people when they have called the facility- or attempted to adopt- We have also sent multiple FOIA requests for Euth Statistics and have yet to receive a reply-
In closing- Dogs and Cats are dying - We respectively ask that you change that your facility adapts to the current standards of the vast majority of facilities in Ohio and does the following-
LISTS ALL ANIMALS THAT COME IN WITHIN THE SAME BUSINESS DAY.
PROVIDE PHOTO FOR EACH ANIMAL (and) as much information as possible-
USE Petfinder.Com (and) Social Media to market these dogs and cats-
BUILD a RAPPORT with large rescues and networks so that when an EMERGENCY case comes in an ALERT can be sent out
REPLY TO ALL FOIA requests so that the EUTHANASIA statistics are PUBLIC-
