We, the residents of Berhampur and its nearby towns, are submitting this petition to request the authorities to make Greater Berhampur Urban area which includes the expansion of Berhampur city along with nearby towns of Chikiti, Hinjilicut, and Rambha in its periphery.

The lack of proper infrastructure, sanitation facilities, and affordable housing in Berhampur and its nearby towns are affecting the lives of thousands of residents. The problem of inadequate infrastructure is particularly severe in these areas, with insufficient public transportation, inadequate water supply, and limited access to basic amenities such as health care facilities and educational institutions.

The lack of proper town planing for infrastructure and facilities is making it difficult for people to live comfortably and hindering their overall development. It is not just a question of inconvenience but also a matter of basic human dignity. The increasing population and lack of development have made the situation even worse.

The expansion of Berhampur city and its nearby towns is crucial for the region's development and the residents' well-being. It will provide better living conditions, new job opportunities, and access to essential services such as health care, education, and public multi modal transportation, most Important  about a functional Airport connectivity to south Odisha.

The region's economic development is also at stake, as the lack of proper infrastructure is hindering the growth of businesses and industries. Expanding the city will attract new investments and create more job opportunities, which will ultimately lead to better economic growth for the entire region.

The time to act is now. The current situation demands immediate action to address the issues faced by the residents of Berhampur and its nearby towns.
