Grayson Painted Parking Spots - Don't Erase Us!

The Issue

This summer, Grayson High School students, families, and staff came together in the July heat and pouring rain to create something special: painted parking spots that represent our spirit, pride, and individuality. These aren’t just parking spaces — they’re a symbol of community and belonging at Grayson.

Now, without any clear explanation, they’re about to be removed. Taking away these 58 spots erases more than paint on the ground — it erases a part of what makes Grayson unique. At a time when Gwinnett County Public Schools faces real challenges like overcrowding and underfunding, removing student-painted spots should not be a priority.

We’re asking for one simple thing: let these painted spots remain until May, when the Class of 2026 graduates. They were approved by the school, they’ve caused no harm, and they’ve brought us closer together as a community.

Please sign and share this petition to show that our voices matter and that our pride deserves to stay.

Don’t erase us. Don’t paint over our pride. Keep the Grayson spirit strong.
