First thank you all for taking the time to sign the petition, donate money and spread the word.
I wanted to share the current update:
The Bad News First: The San Diego Regional Center rejected our petition to allow clinical fellows to provide home visits.
The Good News: We now have ASHA (the American Speech Hearing Association) and CSHA (California Speech Hearing Association) helping out with our cause.
California Early Intervention providers please join us for a virtual town hall on June 28th at 6 pm, where the VP of Public Policy Dr. Swain will discuss advocacy efforts and where you can voice your concerns. Although this is organized in San Diego for SLPs, any EI providers in CA are welcome and other disciplines besides SLPs are also welcome since these issues affect us all. Spread the word!
RSVP to tetaskerslp@gmail.com for the Zoom link, and provide your name, city, and EI discipline.
