Update on Petition to allow Clinical Fellows to provide early intervention - thanks to all who signed the petition and those who helped spread the word. The petition was delivered to the San Diego Regional Center (SDRC) along with a letter of support from San Diego State University and CSU San Marcos SLP chairs. SDRC acknowledged receipt on the Infant Roundtable call and in email. I have a meeting next week with 2 of the deputy directors at the California Department of Developmental Services (DDS). I sent them the same information along with the directive issued by them allowing SLPAs to provide Early Intervention, stressing that if they are allowing SLPAs then surely they should be allowing CFs with more experience and education to provide early intervention home visits.  Again, thanks for your support!
