As students dwell coming back to our schools in Mukwonago where we experience discomfort and frustration stemming from the restriction placed on our rights to personal devices during non-classroom hours. It troubles us knowing that a resourceful tool like a cell phone, which can serve as a lifeline in times of emergency, a connecting link to our peers, and an aid to learning. It is unjustly to kept from our reach even during our free periods, such as passing time, lunch, and study hall.

We respect the need for maintaining the sanctity of the classroom atmosphere and, we do not advocate for the usage of phones during class. However, our primary appeal is the freedom to have easy access to our personal devices before, after school, and during our free periods.

This petition resonates with an underlying need to adapt to our evolving digital age while nurturing an environment of discipline and responsibility. This change can bring a significant relief among us students who feel suppressed under the current regulations and can foster an atmosphere of respect towards individual freedoms.
