Grant Pinterest to Glendowie College
The issue
As a student taking Art Practical (APA) and Photography and Design (APD), I am always seeking creative inspiration for my works. In the past, I looked to Pinterest and other similar websites to find creative pieces to inspire my works. In these past few years, Pinterest has been blocked on Glendowie College's school wifi. Me, my classmates and even teachers have found this very inconvenient for school work life surrounding schoolwork life. Pinterest for creatives brings inspiration for creative works. Many who already have an account have folders they can use to get the inspiration they need. For informational workers, Pinterest creates a haven for photos at their fingertips. Unlike just a quick Google search, Pinterest gives more accurate results for images students and teachers may use for Slideshows, Papers, etc. I have found that when finding images for school projects, Google gets confused with what to see and mainly shows results inaccurate to what I may need. Pinterest shows me accurate results on topics with high-quality images which makes Pinterest a super tool for Students and Teachers alike. Some teachers may argue that Pinterest is a social media and is not suitable for school life because of it, yet you continue to have Instagram unblocked, which students use for school life such as Business Studies and Media Studies. I ask, when have you looked for way too long for an image of a high-quality for a presentation and had to settle for the bare minimum? When have you been in Art class and not known what to do for a project, but Google isn't giving any inspiration? My goal is to bring back the creativity of Glendowie College students and give them a useful image tool right at their fingertips. Help bring back the freedom of the creative tool Pinterest.
