I grew up in Las Vegas, and like many locals, I see the Strip as part of our city, not just a tourist destination. It is where many of us work, meet friends, celebrate milestones, and show visitors what makes this place special.

In recent years, parking fees along Las Vegas Boulevard have become the norm. And for locals? Those fees add up fast. What used to feel like our backyard now feels gated by a parking garage arm and a credit card swipe.

Las Vegas depends on its local residents. We work in the resorts, support local businesses, and help keep this city vibrant year-round. Making parking more accessible for residents would recognize that ongoing support and encourage locals to stay connected with the Strip.

A reasonable solution would grant Las Vegas locals free parking, with clear exceptions during major events when space is limited. This approach balances business needs with community access.

This petition is meant to show casinos and decision-makers that local residents value access to the Strip and would appreciate policies that reflect that relationship.
