I need to acknowledge a fact: I would not know Zaiden's name if he hadn't been unjustly charged as an adult. Usually, the press will not reveal a juvenile's name as long as the young person is not being charged as an adult. However, under the circumstances, I think this story of Zaiden's recent court appearance by Zoom can help you understand the challenge he faces: he is being expected to make decisions as a adult as he is charged as an adult. He also faces a sentence of 65 years. I will try to use these updates to keep you informed of important news on the case. Meanwhile, please continue sharing this petition in your social media accounts, and please encourage likely supporters directly to sign the petition. I intend to contact the prosecutors office with this petition, either when we have 300 signatures or two weeks from now, whichever comes first. I am willing to keep this petition going until Zaiden goes on trial . . . or until the prosecution reconsiders charging Zaiden as an adult and the redundant charges themselves.
