Grant Clemency to Jose Carrasco

Grant Clemency to Jose Carrasco
The Issue
Jose Carrasco has spent 21 agonizing years of a 25-to-life sentence for a crime he did not commit. Jose is a legally blind and disabled individual who has survived traumatic experiences both prior to and during his incarceration. Despite these overwhelming hardships, Jose has not only sought transformation within himself but has also become an inspirational figure for others in dire circumstances.
From the confines of his prison cell, Jose founded Youth Empowerment Through Resilience (Y.E.T.R.), a nonprofit organization dedicated to mentorship and restorative justice. Y.E.T.R. has had a profound impact on justice-involved youth across New York, nurturing a sense of empowerment and positively influencing their lives. Jose's story is a testament to the power of human resilience and the possibility of redemption and hope, even within the bleakest conditions.
Jose Carrasco's continued incarceration denies him the opportunity to further his mission of giving back to the community. His remarkable work in Y.E.T.R., assisting at-risk youth, speaks volumes about his commitment to change and justice. Clemency would not only free Jose but would also enable him to enhance his contributions to society and to mentor young people, potentially altering lives for the better.
The State of New York prides itself on principles of fairness and justice. In this spirit, we urge Governor Kathy Hochul to recognize Jose's unwavering resolve and transformative actions and consider granting him clemency. It is not just an act of justice but an acknowledgment of his efforts to elevate others, even within the confines of incarceration.
We implore the people of New York to stand with us in seeking clemency for Jose Carrasco. Join us in creating a groundswell of support for his release, to reunite him with his family, and to allow him to continue his vital work in empowering youth. Please sign this petition and be a voice for justice and rehabilitation.
If you would like to donate to our GoFundMe, which will help us with all of the expenses regarding the fight for clemency and launching the Y.E.T.R. Movement for the youth, that would be very deeply appreciated. And we so very much appreciate the community coming together, and God Bless You. We look forward to providing support programs and services to help the youth who need guidance and love!!! Always feel free to send a message and reach out. We would love to see what the community has to offer, and we are open to collaborating as well. God Bless. Dios te bendiga y muchísimas gracias, de nuestro corazón al tuyo.
