This past month my 16 year old heart warrior loss her brave battle with congenital heart disease. She was young but my sweet girl had a passion for speaking up when she came upon injustices. For a number of years, almost half her life, she helped me try to get attention for Crosleys case. Ya’ll she was like 10 years old, and could see how insane his conviction was. She believed in his innocence totally & completely. She liked to work out those things in society that felt so wrong to her through her artwork. Above is a picture she made of Crosley years ago to try and drum up interest for his situation from the perspective of a young mind. She may have had a fairly short life, but the fire in my girls heart for those in our country who have been wronged was beyond words. I wanted to share the picture she made of Crosley because it was just so meaningful to her that he be freed. Of course as you and I know as adults, there are systems at play that have created an almost impossibility of his release. In honor of her and her passion for justice for those who have had their lives stolen from them through wrongful convictions, I will channel her passion and keep trying to get Crosleys case evaluated through public pressure for those in power to grant him clemency. Keep sharing his story and caring that this poor soul has had his freedom and his life hijacked from him all because of the color of his skin. So share…share…share Crosleys wrongful conviction because the ONLY way our country will start to reform our corrupt criminal justice system is if we all speak up and refuse the back down!
