I was thanking the Citywide Respiratory steering grouptoday who mentioned Ella Roberta’s story in their meeting. This made me curious to have a closer look about what is happening in Manchester in relation to air pollution. A number of you have brought the situation to my attention on here but I was shocked by this report on itv NEWS. This is my absolute nightmare, this is the reason why I am campaigning because I know first hand sadly the impacts of air pollution. I better say no more but please watch for yourselves and I guess the question that must be asked: is how long is this nightmare going to carry on? Do we not have a duty of care to our children? Article 24 of the UNCRC states every child has the right to the best possible health. Watching this report the Govt and councils must act swiftly as this is a health crises.
