As Concordia University has moved to online teaching and student life has become very restrained, we, Concordia students, believe it is a necessity for us to see our tuition fees reduced. The shift from in-person to online learning makes complete sense in the midst of the pandemic, and we thank you for that. However, this substantial change is having an immense impact on the quality of our education. In-person interactions, facilities and resources represent a great part of our learning experience. Not only communication with professors is restricted due to the virtual nature of classes, students of all faculties see themselves penalized since they cannot access classes, amphitheaters, labs, studios, libraries, study rooms, special equipment and many more resources essential to a quality education. Furthermore, students are required to work from home, in confined spaces where distractions are prominent and exchange of ideas nonexistent. For these reasons, we demand that you reduce the amount of our tuition fees. We are all proud to be Concordia students and we believe Concordia University is renowned for its fairness and integrity, but also the quality of education it has to offer. Please help us ensure that stays true.
