We are people of Gracemere, Rockhampton and surrounding rural areas. 

I would like to add that the population of Gracemere as of 2023 is 12,604 and still NO HIGH SCHOOL...... But Calliope population is 5,263 and they have a HIGH SCHOOL.... all Gracemere is getting is more takeaway places and nothing to help with our children's education.Also the overcrowded buses are another BIG issue. 

This would not only give our region a great boost of jobs (security, maintenance, operators etc.) but greatly reduce the danger Gracemere students face daily.

Standing in isles on fast traveling buses is simply not good enough, it rattles me to see parents saying they have been seeking changes for over 20 years with zero progress.

I believe it’s well overdue, over looked and a great alternative to be seriously considered and explored. Let’s get proactive until the day the state approves a high school in Gracemere.
