Govt of India: Reduce Petrol and Diesel Prices For the Sake ofCommon Citizens
The Issue
We common citizens continue to bleed by a thousand cuts. Fuel prices have been hiked once again. This includes petrol, diesel and even LPG cylinders. I had started this petition a year ago on 18th Feb 2021 and my demand is still relevant. Through this petition, I am urging the Government of India to have mercy on the common man and reduce these prices as they have a direct impact on the price of food and other consumer goods. I appeal to every Indian to sign my petition. We will stop feeling powerless when we raise our voices.

In our cricket-crazy country, the latest to hit a century are petrol prices in some places. However, unlike centuries in cricket, this one has us weeping, not cheering.
From the past 10 days, petrol and diesel prices are increasing everyday. One thing I must say is that crude oil prices are the same in the world then why are they lower in our neighbouring countries prices - some have almost half the price than in our country.
The fuel hike is hurting common citizens like me. That is why, on behalf of all the citizens of India I have started a petition to decrease the prices of petrol and diesel. Sign my petition.
In 2013, crude oil prices were USD 105.48 per Barrel (as per indexmundi dot com) and petrol prices were (Delhi) INR 74.08 per litre as DNA India reported. And now in December 2020 crude oil prices are USD 48.73 almost half of the price than in 2013 but now the petrol price is (Delhi) INR 82.34 per litre (as reported in The Hindu), which is not acceptable to all the citizens of India.
GST is not implemented on petrol and diesel prices due to consumer goods which are transported through trucks, and diesel is used as a fuel in these vehicles to avoid increasing the per unit cost to consumers but we found prices of petrol are increasing day by day as well as the consumer goods too.
It's hardly a marginal difference between petrol vs diesel and it's price is different in different states due to tax policies and it is considered under VAT.
I request all the people of India whom-so-ever receive this petition to kindly sign and forward it to your network on social media so that we may hit the 1 million people so that the government should take action to control and reduce the prices of the same.
