Covid 19 - A reality check on treatment.

The Issue

I'm kajal residing in Mangalore (Karnataka). The reason I'm here is for my father for his justice, my father late javerchand had been tested covid19 positive with ctcl and was admitted to father muller medical college hospital. Due to lack of ventilator availability in the hospital. We had shifted him to S.C.S hospital. During the stay at the hospital they were negligible and I was not satisfied with the way they treated my dad and this was very evident to me.

The pain I feel in me remains unexplainable and the anger stirs up in my blood for the injustice that happened. the thought that " If at all they had taken care of him by treating him well my father would have been with me now" leaves me Feeling devastated. I am so broken! I felt so helpless during that situation and now when I think of it I get angry at myself for not being able to do nothing. I really wish I was able to save my father. But I still don't find any answer as to what if I did, I could have been able to save him. When Doctors behave so carelessly towards their patients, how else could I even do something I wonder. Even to this day My heart aches and bleeds when my mind reminds me of the incident. My body freezes and I go literally numb

So here's a few glimpse out of many incidents that took place at the hospital :
1. When I tried to enrol for an ayushman scheme they gave me an excuse saying that they lack enough staffs in the hospital and while My father was in intubated condition, they asked us to shift him to another hospital. We were not even informed about the risk factors that came along with the shifting procedure.
2. Not all the documents of lab reports were handed over to us, especially of the last day while we left the hospital
3. There were discrepancies in the usage of medicine mentioned in the discharge summary and priscription
4. Without giving the right information, I was asked to sign the documents shown to me.

Dear readers,

A Patient approaching a Doctor expects medical treatment with all the knowledge and skill that the doctor possesses to bring relief to his medical problems. Though a Doctor may not be in a position to save his patient's life at all times, he is expected to use his special knowledge and skills in the most appropriate manner keeping in mind the interest of patients who has entrusted his life to him. But it's a sad reality in few hospitals patients are being extremely neglected and are treated inappropriately.

All I want is to just exactly know what happened to my father. I want to know the real reason that caused his death. They have reasoned it to be Covid-19 but I believe there is so much more than this which took place behind the scenes which is not disclosed to me. My main intention of putting this out in the social platform is because I do not want anyone else experiencing the same as i did. I want this to stop. It's so unfair to go through something like this. I'm genuinely concerned about so many out there who might be experiencing the same but are keeping quiet. I would like to stand up on behalf of all of them. Therefore Kindly join hands with me and do support me by signing this petition. Each of your support will play a significant role in contributing to the fight for Justice.

Thankyou
