Save the Bees! Ban Bifenthrin & Deltamethrin in New England
The Issue
Mosquito Squad, an insecticide company operating in more than 100,000 properties around the U.S., utilizes the highly toxic pyrethroid chemical Bifenthrin which has significant adverse health effects on bee and other insect populations. It, as well as the other most widely used pyrethroid Deltamethrin, is lethal to honey bees in high concentrations and results in reduced fertility and increased larva mortality rates in nonlethal quantities.
Our bees are dying because more than 30 folks in the vicinity are getting their properties professionally sprayed with this poison every three weeks and untold numbers are using domestic insecticides. For the sake of posterity stop spraying, educate others who are, and sign this petition calling for a ban on Bifenthrin and Deltamethrin use in New England.
"Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, Nothing is going to get better. It's not.”
-Dr. Seuss
