Gina M. Raimondo is an accomplished American politician and member of the Democratic Party who is currently serving as the Secretary of Commerce under President Joseph Biden's administration since March 2021. Before this, she held the position of the 75th Governor of Rhode Island from 2015 to 2021, becoming the first woman to do so. In addition to her political career, Raimondo has a notable background in economics and law, having studied at Harvard University, attended Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar, and earned a Juris Doctor degree from Yale Law School. Equipped with extensive experience in venture capital, Raimondo co-founded Point Judith Capital before entering into public service.
