Reverse their decision to cut child care subsidies for working families
This petition made change with 158 supporters!
As of August 1, 2012 Choices will no longer be able to accept new applicants. Current clients will see a rise in their copay of 5% to 12%. Working families will not be able to work and afford to pay the cost of child care. They would be working mainly to pay for child care and nothing else. Official say "The cuts are necessary to balance the agency's budget but shifting the burden for the budget shortfalls onto working families who are least able to pay is short sighted economically and wrong morally." By signing this petition you are voicing your disappointment in our governments ability to serve West Virginia, our working families and the quality child care that your children receive while you are away at work or school. Thank you for participating in this very important economic issue.
