14 year old Kenny Joe Johnson's lifeless body was discovered on October 10th 1987, rolled into a piece of carpet in isolated Maus Park Dubuque Iowa. Kenny Joe had been badly beaten, sexually assaulted, and strangled. Ten years after the brutal murder the owner of the yellow/orange carpet came forward. We the people of "We Are Their Voices" are making this plea to Governor Kim Reynolds of the state of Iowa to compare the DNA evidence left at the crime scene, to the owner of the carpet or any remaining family members if said owner is found to be deceased or noncompliant. We pray governor Kim Reynolds will hear our plea and demand law enforcement or any other entity involved to comply. We ask this for the family and friends of the deceased to one day have closure.
