When Ricky Winkfield was 30 something years old, he was convicted of a rape he says he did not commit. I need your help to save his life.His mom paid a lawyer by the name of ms.michelle pollen who took her money and ran off with it and never helped with the case. The District attorney Hugh roach Falsified evidence with the Franklin County sheriff office. They ran dna 3 times and all 3 times it wasn’t a match and they threw red paint on the walls to make it look like real blood and the pictures of the victim they say he raped wasn’t even the victim at all it was another woman.

Ricky has lived in prison Since 1998, and is held in confinement everyday. He is allowed one hour of sunlight a day, and three showers a week and eats once a day on the weekends. Every minute we wait to take action, Ricky is suffering. Every second that goes by brings Ricky closer to being unable to come home for a crime he didn’t commit. The Franklin County Sheriff Office took DNA from him Involuntarily and Tried falsifying Evidence They Put fake blood on the sheets and Walls his DNA was never found at The crime scene Ricky winkfield was at home at the time fishing with his nieces and nephews. They wouldn’t allow his nieces and nephews at the trial because they didn’t want to hear the truth coming from kids. How can u convict a innocent man and take his whole life away he has lost the opportunity to watch his nieces and nephews grow up if y’all care please sign this petition and let Franklin County Sheriff’s Office Of Lavonia Georgia know they need to go back and look at evidence.At the time of the crime for which he was convicted, Ricky was a caring young man who would help anybody in need.It is clear that Ricky’s lawyer did not adequately defend him, and that explicit racial bias played a significant role in the process.. Eyewitnesses place Mr. Winkfield at his parents’ home at the time of the Rape, miles away from the crime scene. 
Newly-discovered evidence shows that at least one Sheriff harbored racial prejudice that influenced his vote to convict and sentence Mr. Winkfield to Life without parole.I learned about Ricky Winkfield’s story through innocence project” As a person of color and a person of faith, I knew that I couldn’t stand by while an innocent man was Serving a Life sentence without parole. I am an Georgia taxpayer and the idea that my money will be used to Keep Ricky in prison for life makes me sick.
