This petition is a plea to the Governor of Michigan, Gretchin Whitmer, asking her to please commute the life sentence of Temujin Kensu.  Temujin Kensu has spent 37 years in prison for a murder he did not commit.  The Saint Clair County Prosecutor's Office has refused to reopen the case in spite of the gross negligence and misconduct of everyone involved from the start. 

We are not asking for a pardon.  We are asking for the sentence to be commuted.  Temujin will still have a criminal record.  He has done more time for a murder he did not commit than many other people have done for murders they did commit.
