Hair and nail salons, barber shops, spas and tattoo parlors now are ordered, by our incredibly slow to react Governor Ducey, to close as of 4/4/20. Even though golf courses are still open and should be closed, I close this petition so as to send you a very important message.
Unfortunately, the time it took for Governor Ducey to answer our call to action is too late.
The data I review daily, the information regarding COVID19, clearly shows that we are on the way to an incomprehensible number of deaths for Arizona.
All of them would have been preventable deaths if we had been able to buy time - with a lockdown. Time was our best resource and he failed to give it to us. Time would have given us ventilators, PPE and other resources that would have saved countless lives.
Now I recommend to all of you, prepare for disaster. I truly believe the numbers the politicians and physicians in the media are giving the public are extremely misleading. The number will be horrifylingly higher.
- Stay home!
- Have no one over! No extended family! No One!
- Wear a fabric (homemade) mask if you have to go out. But still stay 6 feet apart.
- If you wear gloves, be careful that you do not touch your own stuff (purse, phone, credit cards, steering wheel etc.)
- Wash you hands or use hand sanitizer after being outside the home
- Wipe down the food you bring home from the store
- Do not allow risky activities that could cause injury (ATV's, jet skiing, motor bikes, even climbing ladders and more) so as to avoid needing a hospital that has no room for you or increasing your exposure to COVID19 if they do have room
- Do not hoard, but do stock up on food and necessities so you do not have to go out often
- And lastly, be prepared to stay at home until the beginning of June. The deaths will rise until then. I believe mid June will be when we will finally see an end to the awful nightmare.
The economy is already ruined, do not expect it to come back in the next 3 months. But it WILL come back.
Take care of one another! Be there for your neighbor! Help them if they do not have supplies and you do, leave it at the door though - no contact.
