At their annual shareholders meeting, Publix stockholders selected Jennifer Jenkins as their new chair. She is young, educated and hopefully will understand the impact Publix is having on our marine life.

This is a great opportunity for our environment as Publix has had a recent board who has made it a mission to protect the plastic industry and keep a state preemption over plastic bag bangs. 

I urge everyone to reach out to her and express your desire for Publix to discontinue single use plastic bags within their operations.
