St. Pete, a beautiful city surrounded by water, is on pace to be the 2nd city in Florida to ban plastic bags. Legislation will be before the full City Council very soon. This impact would be massive and save potentially tens of thousands of plastic bags from ending up in the water and harming marine life. Below is a list of some of the stores which provide hundreds of thousands if not millions of bags a year and the amount of stores in St. Pete. Imagine if only 1% of those end up in the water...
