We're looking for passionate people to help generate support within their local governments for the Florida plastic bag bill. The City of Pensacola just passed a resolution (an official opinion) in support of control over regulating plastic bags. We need people to help with that same process in their community. You'll connect with your local elected officials and ultimately influence them to pass local resolutions. Those resolutions are powerful when meeting with your state elected officials. Local elected officials are more likely to connect with their own residents and thats where you're important. A call to action will be put out next week on how we can get the plastic bag bills heard in the state. They have been assigned to their respective committees. Look, special interests have controlled the State of Florida for long enough and it's time Florida residents throughout the state advocate for our environment.
