We the people of Florida are strongly urging Florida Governor DeSantis to please follow other states example and shut down Florida for a minimum of two weeks to help contain the spread of the Covid 19 virus.

***** I am now editing this because our governor has shown that he cares more about financial gains and his own special interest groups than the health of the residents that live in Florida. 

 Governor Ron DeSantis has now opened up our borders to let the highly infected New Yorkers come into our state with only a airport quarantine. But no quarantines if people drive here. also you have to remember that some people can have this without having a fever. knowing people who work at CVS distribution that handles the distribution of the test kits and medical necessities to fight this virus I know firsthand that there is not enough to even test the patience waiting right now in hospitals that are sick so how is he going to test everybody that comes through the airport other than with a thermometer?  

Our governor is now threatening the safety of our utility workers that have to go out every day to make sure our power grid is stable.

 Our governor is now threatening the health and safety of our only medical distribution warehouse that sends out all the necessary medicine and medical devices to fight this virus, with over 300 employees working there twenty-four hours a day 7 days a week some already sick.  

I'm begging and pleading because our governor is putting at risk our law enforcement, EMT paramedics, fire rescue, nurses and doctors that are already starting to come back being tested positive for this virus.  without these essential personnel healthy, safe and not living with the increased stress anxiety and fear of having to go out into a open infected public they cannot do their job and Florida will look like New York within a month****

   By not shutting the state down you are only causing a virus to spread at an exponential rate, placing first responders and essential personnel's safety in Jeopardy. 

From recent events we all can plainly see that we can no longer trust the majority of people to follow the health guidelines and stay isolated and continue to social distance so will you please ask that you call for a mandatory two-week shutdown. 

  those people already have vacation time in for spring break and if not the federal government has a economic incentive program in the works so it would not hurt the American people more than contracting the virus would. 

  We ask that you please give this serious thought and thank you for your time.

 Shutting down the state would also enable our supply chain to have time to be able to restock our stores and warehouses. 

 It would also help first responders, essential employees such as utility industry, postal industry, CVS distribution which is leading the distribution of test kits and medicine and many other employees to be able to safely do their jobs without fear of contracting the virus and infecting other first responders and essential personnel and their family. 

If all of our essential employees are sick then there will be nobody to supply the test kits and medication, keep power on, enforce law, take care of the sick and much more.
