Dear Supporters,

Important news to share. Our honourable Supreme Court has begun hearing a batch of appeals against the ban on hijabs. These appeals were filed after the Karnataka High Court ruled to uphold the ban on wearing hijabs in government schools and colleges in my state. The matter is listed again for hearing on Wednesday, 7th September at 2pm.

URGENT NEXT STEP
I encourage all of you who signed this petition to kindly keep sharing the petition with more and more people. When public support grows, there is a better chance that justice will prevail in the apex court.

As I have been saying from the beginning- my hijab is my choice. No one has a right to say what I can or cannot wear.  The Constitution of India upholds and protects my right to practice my religion and not be discriminated against. Our collective solidarity can help create impact. Let’s ensure that young Muslim girls are not denied education! #MyHijabMyChoice

Thank you.
