Criminalize Mutoriro in Zimbabwe

Criminalize Mutoriro in Zimbabwe
The Issue
The increase in substance misuse and addiction of drugs such as cocaine, heroin and crystal methamphetamine among youth in Zimbabwe has led to significant pressure on the healthcare, judiciary, and community system in Zimbabwe. To date, the possession of Crystal Methamphetamine, a dangerous and highly addictive recreational drug also known as Meth, Mutoriro, Ghuka maBlue among other names, whether for sale or personal use is not considered a crime.
The people of Zimbabwe are suffering as a result of the widespread use of Crystal Methamphetamine and other strong mood altering addictive substance. Mother's have been assaulted, family members and friends have been killed, as a direct result of the effects of the use of Mutoriro. Something must be done today.
Reports have been made, and indeed the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has done a great job in making arrests, and follow ups. However, because Crystal Methamphetamine is not listed on the illigal drug list, the possession and sale of the drug is not a criminal offense.
The misuse of Crystal Methamphetamine, is known for causing hallucinations, and psychosis, amoungst other mostly temporary mental health disturbances. These disturbances can and have led to violence in families. Many parents are being physically assaulted by their children while under the influence on the drug.
As a step forward in solving this challenge: We need to list Mutoriro and other abused drugs with names that may only come in the future, as illigal to possess or to sell.
We are aware that more drugs or different versions of substances such as Mutoriro, Heroin, Cocaine will come in the future, but with different names. Because of that, we are petitioning for government to counter this future challenge by pre-listing these unnamed addictive substances before they arrive.
Help to appeal for government to regulate and list the drug Crystal Methamphetamine, Specific synthetic drugs and other misused and addictive drugs as illegal in Zimbabwe and to make Broncleer and other misused drug strict prescription drugs
