Dear Supporters,

We still need your help. The sale of 1117 Queen West could happen any day. 

Canada Post Corp. opened offers for the sale with a due date of July 24th. Offers are now closed and the sale could be confirmed at any time!

Several community groups submitted Letters of Interest to keep the building for public use, but all offers from community groups that we are aware of were rejected. This was disappointing news and not in keeping with the public interest.

We need you to spread the word and keep the pressure up! The Federal Government has the power to halt the sale by way of a Cabinet decision. We need to tell them that public land must stay in public hands!  The sale of Canada Post lands without community consultation is not just a local issue to WQW, but a national one. 

Please, join us this Saturday, August 14th, for an afternoon of showing our love for 1117 Queen St West!  Event starts at 1pm on The Porch.
