Here I sit,

at the end of my chain,

an anonymous dog,

I don't have a name.

Here I sit,

outside when it's cold,

I won't have the knowledge

of what it's like to grow old.

I'm bred to pull humans,

around in the snow,

there's no other reason

I'm here, so I'm told.

If I'm lucky enough,

I get to enter this race,

It's a 1000 miles long,

You have to keep up the pace.

A lot of my friends,

went to that and never came back.

I bet they're real happy,

Wherever they're at.
