Dear dog friend!
Last Saturday, the Iditarod—Alaska’s death race for dogs—began. Along the 1,000-mile stretch, dogs’ feet are often torn apart by ice and rocks. Many pull muscles, incur stress fractures, or become sick with diarrhea, dehydration, intestinal viruses, or bleeding stomach ulcers. Others die from inhaling their own vomit.
Even though sponsors are dropping their support of the Iditarod, some companies have chosen to trash their reputations by partnering with the cruel dog-sled race. Capstone Clinic and Alaska Native Renewable Industries (ANRI) are inexplicably throwing their support behind this event, in which more than 150 dogs have died.
Urge Capstone Clinic and Alaskan Energy Company to Stop Supporting the Deadly Iditarod!

This cruel race must stop. The medieval and cruel treatment of sled dogs must come to an end. Please take action!
