To make a change in the law and to increase the sentence of reckless and dangerous driver Addil Haroon.

The Issue

Please support this call for Justice for innocent driver Joseph Brown-Lartey who’s life was tragically taken by unlicensed and uninsured driver Addil Haroon.

Please sign this petition for an increase in the sentence given to Addil Haroon for taking an innocent life away and receiving only 6 years, serving only 3 in a young offenders institution. There needs to be a change in the law to make the sentence fit the crime.

The collision that occurred on the 9th November 2014 was described by police officers who attended the scene as the worst they had ever seen on an urban street so why such a lenient sentence? Haroon was driving in excess of 80mph in a 30mph zone, driving straight through a red light.

The day before the incident Haroon photographed himself on snapchat, doing 142 mph on the M62 motorway with out a license, bragging about traveling from Leeds to Rochdale in 11 minutes which is a 33.5 mile journey taking a law abiding driver approximately 45-50 minutes.

Joe wasn't just anybody he was such a kind, loving, gentle, genuine boy with so much to offer; he was always there to help everybody and anybody. Joe was always giving, such a caring soul. His hopes and plans for the future taken away forever.
