Bring tougher punishments for people who steal dogs and cats

The Issue

I am sick to death of seeing dogs and cats being stolen. It’s every pet owners worst nightmare. The government must help us to stop this rise in pet thefts starting with bringing in harsher punishments for the theft of animals. Also reducing the price of kittens and puppies that are for sale. There should be a cap on the price as it’s the extortionate prices being put on puppies and kittens which makes them a valuable commodity and is driving up theft.

The current demand for kittens and puppies has driven the price right up in to the thousands. This has enticed more pet theft. The heartache families and their pets go through is unimaginable. Breeders must reduce the price of their dogs to help stop the high demand for dogs and cats. Please sign to get this assessed by the government.

Harsher punishments coupled with driving down the price of dogs and cats will help to combat the rising risk of pet theft in the uk.
