get a bill passed against animal rape in pakistan
The Issue
There have been a couple of cases in the past week regarding inhumane treatment of animals (especially cats and kittens). All of these cases supported with explicit proof. Men and boys have lit up helpless kittens on fire and watched it suffer and a kitten has been repeatedly raped to the point that it has damaged its organs completely (all this information being openly spread on social media so there is enough awareness) , and there is no action being taken against this by people in power. According to "The prevention of cruelty to animals act, 1890" , there are no laws against raping animals, and abuse is only to be fined as little as 100 rps. Furthermore it is stated in under section 377 of the PPC "anyone liable of carnal intercourse with any animal shall be punished with imprisonment of life or with imprisonment of either description for a term which shall not be less than two years nor more than ten years, along with a fine" , but none of these laws are being enforced in these cases. In a recent case men had been repeatedly raping dolphins (some of which are endangered) claiming that their genitalia resembled those of women. So there is a history of countless cases out in the open on social media where its likely not possible to stumble across protests against it, including people abusing and shooting down stray dogs. Pakistan being a democracy but one of the most non-liberal ones, there is no real action taken against animal cruelty. There are things that are happening right under the nose of people in power and they do not take action. This treatment is INHUMANE and has to be stopped. We DEMAND that there needs to be proper action and proper law passed and enforced by the Government of Pakistan to support causes regarding animal abuse and rape. We are human and we support love in every religion, no sane person supports abuse against helpless animals. We need to speak for these innocent beings who cant speak for themselves.
