A Voice for the Voiceless...!!

The Issue

Our Constitution imposes a fundamental duty on all of us to protect the voiceless and have compassion for all living beings as a result of which the PCA Act was laid down as a measure to provide rights of freedom and living to animals. This act was made in year 1960 shows how little has been done since then. In India, the discussion related to animal rights revolves around political arcades. Many animal lovers have been helping by rescuing and providing food, shelter homes, medical assistance to these voiceless but for a collective measure, a well-executed law has to be made to safeguard the interest of animals.

Having a voice is a power, and a way to express ourselves. But these poor souls don't have. Animals should be treated with the utmost respect, love and care. In a community, where we all talk about how to be civilized, how we can be progressive, but how to treat an animal, how to take care of them, what we can do for their welfare, do we talk about them too ?. the answer is no. There are a lot of things we can do to protect these voiceless animals. You don’t have to own a pet to help in this cause. You can start with taking care of a stray.

In many cases reported in our society, the barking or biting of dogs have been a cause of beating them, poisoned them. And this not only limited to dogs, animal haters target cats, birds and other animals too. Most of them don't aware about any animal law. Government should educate people regarding the same also make necessary amendments to animal laws.

Stop animal cruelty.
