Dear neighbors,
We have received many emails and messages from affected residents asking us "what can I do to help?"
There are many ways to get involved: document your damages, share our information, send an email to the State Fire Marshal and local elected officials every time you feel a blast, research all political candidates and reject those who have received money from White Rock Quarries, the Vecellio Group, and other mining companies, and last but not least, go to the meetings. We need to be a unified voice.
When: September 4th, 2018 at 6:30 pm
Where: Miami Lakes Town Hall
6601 Main St, Miami Lakes 33014
The Town Council of Miami Lakes will vote on the creation of a special committee to review the Blasting Study and make recommendations to the local government. Most councilmen are either opposed to the creation of this committee or undecided. That is why we need YOU to remind them that the people should come before the special interests. If you have sent an email to the Mayor or Councilmembers and they have not replied to you, we encourage you to print the email, attend the meeting and put it on the record during public participation.
Please plan to attend and support Councilwoman Marilyn Ruano's agenda Item for this committee to be formed. The voice of the people is Paramount. The No More Blasting Coalition will be there. Remember to wear RED.
We need YOU! Get involved! Make your voices heard!
